How to make a small, specific goal to accomplish a larger mission.

“I want to get in shape” transforms into “I will go to the gym three times a week for six months. "That’s an achievable, specific goal — which is great — but how do you make sure it happens?

First, take action to ensure success. What will help you get to the gym three times a week? It might be setting out your gym clothes in the morning, or putting them in the car so you can head to the gym after work.

Maybe you need to ask for help, like asking your partner or a friend to watch the kids or your employer to let you come into work a bit later than usual.

Next, build in accountability. Get a friend to meet you at the gym or ask one of our coaches to check in with you to see if you’re meeting your goal.
