I grew up in a large family, outdoor activities and sports created a natural competitiveness and instilled early on the importance of hard work. I was involved in a variety of sports growing up including swimming, track, basketball, and golf. I continue to love any outdoor activity including running, cross-country skiing, and biking. I have done triathlons, multiple 1/2 marathons, and a full trail marathon. CFB workouts give me the strength and endurance to do all the outdoor activities that I love!
I currently work as a Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine and every day see those with chronic physical and mental disease processes. I love seeing CFB members CHOOSING exercise to either maintain or improve their health while also reducing the risk of chronic conditions. CFB is an environment that’s conducive to self-improvement, acknowledges the triumph of small victories, and encourages athletes from doubting their abilities to confidently take on challenges that didn’t seem possible.
