“I joined CrossFit Brighton more than 6 years ago. I had just turned 50 (yes years!) and I was unsure if this was something I could learn to do. Anything involving a barbell was a challenge, so I decided to give it a month and promised my husband Mark I’d stick it out. Some days were better than others so I figured 2 months may be a better judge of my progress. I’m so incredibly glad I did!
The coaches helped me to see that doing the movement correctly is very important BEFORE adding more weight. Form really does count so it’s okay to progress at your own level and not try and let other’s progress change your focus.
I’ve learned that I CAN learn new things at this age and how truly far I’ve come and yet I’m still learning and enjoying the process!”
